New: After Action Report 📡 #107

Dear Subscriber,

The intelligence landscape is shifting rapidly, and if you're not paying attention, you're missing critical signals.

This week's intel reveals a concerning spike in expelled intelligence officers since 2022 (Russian agents bearing the brunt), while the Heritage Foundation quietly exerts unprecedented influence over the current Trump administration—claiming an adoption rate of 64% for their policy recommendations.

Meanwhile, our podcast features former Australian diplomat John Fowler, who shares insights from his time in Beijing and Shanghai after extensive Mandarin training.

Also on our radar: China's rising naval power at Yulin Base, terrorist exploitation of gaming platforms, and Russia's strategic healthcare initiatives across Africa.

These aren't random news items—they're interconnected pieces of a global power puzzle. And understanding how they fit together gives you an edge.

Dig in,

Ahmed CEO Grey Dynamics

Media Control: Assault on Democratic Safeguards in Washington

In 2024, a strikingly high number of intelligence officers operating under diplomatic cover found themselves declared persona non grata (PNG) and swiftly expelled from host countries. Russian intelligence officers bore the brunt of this wave—driven by heightened geopolitical tensions, particularly in Europe. Expulsions of Indian, Chinese, Iranian, and Western intelligence personnel also surfaced throughout the year and across the globe. While 2024 stood out, the trend seems to have begun as early as 2022, includes non-official cover operatives–such as Russian illegals–and has continued into 2025. It is difficult to assess whether the uptick represents an increase in espionage activity or improvements in, or a greater focus on, counterintelligence programs.

Heritage Foundation: Silent Player Reshaping U.S. Government and Policy

The Heritage Foundation is a conservative think tank that was established in Washington, DC in 1973. The Foundation is deeply aligned with the goals of far-right elements of the Republican Party. It also claims to influence the policy decisions of the Presidential administration.

Among the policy recommendations of the Heritage Foundation is Project 2025. This project is a policy agenda aimed at cementing conservative values and outlooks in society through radical changes in government.

The Foundation claims that the administration of President Donald Trump has accepted over 64% of the Foundation’s policy recommendations. Furthermore, sixty policy experts from The Heritage Foundation were appointed to, and currently work in, the current administration. Outside of government, the Foundation focuses on political activism and providing opportunities for the next generation of ultra-conservative public servants.
